I remember when my LO was littler (he’s 15 months now) I was always so worried about his poop! I accidentally overfed my danios with live baby brine shrimp they have been eating ever since with no intention of stopping and they are getting pretty fat. It does have a smell but most breastfed babies don’t have unpleasant smelling poop. My 4 month old used to have one big yellow blowout poop a day (she is breastfed) Then out of no where she started pooping exclusively green poops (texture & smell is the same) way more frequently. I breastfeed in the day and supplement with 2 bottles of formula at night. My baby definitely had Greek yoghurt smelling poops. Honestly wish I had your problem. I'm worried he might get a bad rash from sitting in Poopy diapers for too long. He was sleeping and when he woke up, I checked his diaper and it had Poop. You absolutely can over feed a kitten but it will usually cause diarrhea. Wash as normal. Some kids poop during almost every feed, that's very normal. 😵💫 should I be worried he hasn’t pooped since yesterday 8am? We just got over the green mucus poops last week. And I suspect her excessive spit up earlier may have been connected my baby had poop in literally every single diaper for weeks. Typically with a bottle, the flow of milk is a lot faster and so baby doesn't always get the signal that they're full until they've had too much. When she finally does poop she often will have multiple poops that day as well. She’s sometimes go a few days without pooping and I was worried. I keep finding whole pieces of food (like spinach or orange pulp) in her poop. She’s been slightly fussy all day, but is also extremely overtired so that’s definitely contributing to it. The problem with human feeding schedules is you just don't know how much they need that day, because it varies. My baby knew how much milk she needed far better than the lactation consultant or doctor did. When you learn your baby’s signs and patterns, you can catch poops/pees in a potty. Good luck! From the early stages of pregnancy to when your teenagers are finally ready to leave the nest (even if they don't want to) we're here to help you through this crazy thing called parenting. This was especially a problem with my first kid. I’ve googled green poops and I’ve found a few things. I knew this from a book I read while pregnant and my hospital gave me a heads up. The faster the food travels, the less time it has to be fully digested. It may take up to 10min for the poo to come but within 3min, the baby may start crying from how uncomfortable it may be (because the poop is likely impacted or larger than usual). Sure they'll gain weight in a sense, but it's not due to a good diet, it's due to them being bloated with poop in their belly, aka constipation. Definitely banana. However, I’ve also read Ramshorn snails eat shrimp. I drink plenty of water, eats lots of fruit and veggies and fiber, use stool softeners, and occasionally miralax, and am still dealing with this and sometimes still end up constipated for days at a time. I've always rinsed out the poop immediately then put a bit of laundry detergent and rub it in. Did my boy just overeat, or is he getting bloated from sickness? Kittens are generally impossible to overfeed There is a transition point around the year mark at which they do become possible to overfeed and will become fat if they keep eating like kittens, but your baby isn't there yet For the first month I combo fed my baby (pumped and topped off w formula), then switched to 100% formula. All cats do not stop growing at 1 some breeds like maincoons for example i think keep growing until 1. A place for pregnant redditors, those who have been pregnant, those who wish to… If your baby does not poop unless assisted by the windi, and the poop is soft, then it's likely to be dischezia. If baby is spitting up and not vomitting then you arent overfeeding the baby. He's 7 months old. She’s always been formula fed. Right there with you. Formula has more indigestible components so the babies pass more material as poop. My babies’ poops didn’t smell when they were BF. My niece didn't stop nursing unless my sister took her off the breast. She took a poop about 2 hours ago and it was slightly stinky. For 6 months my son has always warned us about Poop diapers. I feel like this isn’t normal, especially for a formula baby!! His formula is a special thickened formula for reflux, and known for causing constipation. He’s not in day care and EBF. Often has little bits of undigested food in it and is thicker than before. That’s really the only reason I am worried, since it’s a sudden change in routine for him. 1/2 cube frozen brine shrimp fed between 3 adf last night. Yesterday, I have no idea when he pooped. I used stimulation just when it was more than 24/36 hours since the last poop so he colud exercise the correct muscles but did not wait more since the times I did, the poop inside got harder and was even more difficult for him. Mine ate a ton and has been a huge baby (height, weight, and head all over 95% since birth) and my ped has never been concerned. Agreed. For like, 6 months.
