Vorkath dhcb guide reddit Edit: It's also useful for bringing a high-damage spec weapon in range gear without having to bring melee switches for claw specs It's a lot to take in doing it at first; I accidentally discovered it myself when I realised I didn't take damage and then optimised it for damage output. dhcb (ruby proc), dhcb (ruby proc), dhcb 3 more times into 8 way melee, claw spec, lance hit, undead spawn, lance, claw, lance to kill as acid was thrown for 47. It's frustrating the patterns. Both on a 1/5000 roll so you better bet is, you never find one. Before I stopped playing, the lance was considered good, but the crossbow was still superior. And yes, it is much better. Void is definitely bis at vorkath. Missed hits hurt the dhcb a lot more than the BP, so in my experience walking would often save the bp 20-30s or more. Don't forget you can still use the 15% eagle eye thing. Easy 4-5 kill trips. Killing Vorkath (Dragon Hunter Lance). Why do ironmen kill vorkath? Of course, with fang/dhl/dhcb the kills are easy and take little supplies, but the drops dont look very useful to Due to the high accuracy of a Dragon hunter crossbow in combination with a Salve amulet and Void range, it is unnecessary and can even be an overall damage loss to use defence-lowering special attacks on Vorkath. At least with bosses like Zulrah the IIRC, switching at ~350hp is best if using dhcb + dragon bolts (e), as you can smack 70's without bolt specs, and ~300hp is where ruby spec hits 70ish. Could be used at vorkath, hydra, ToB, etc. If you're not in melee range, then Vorkath will attack with both magic and ranged. I'm not saying DHCB isn't better than bis melee, but it wasn't worth ~180m to me for slightly faster kills and a more difficult woox walk. If you can scrape together the 80mil by selling your bank, then definitely get a dhcb. My question is which is more important: Rigour or DHCB. I would go with dhcb and then use the money you make to sink into Chins for 99 ranged. Please tell me what am I doing wrong? Thanks Lets say you kill vorkath 30 times a hour as stated on money making guide. The reduced damage from antifire shield probably doesn't increase kills per trip simply because killing vorkath slower makes you take more damage too, so might as well use the bowfa and get faster kills. What changed? I just finished off a ~150 blue dragon task at Vorkath using a dhcb, but if the lance is better, I'd really like to know. Dhcb walk should of course be better dps than bp. But my kill times are much more consistently around 1:30 with the dhcb I struggled swapping from bp to dhcb at first too, going from 3mins+ to the occasional sub 1min but average 1:15-130. You'll have your bank back in no time. I never mastered the woox walk with DHCB and it's so much easier to do with melee. I'm only 85 range and high 80s melee levelmy avg kill time is like 2:30 on vorkath (blowpipe bgs) Won't the spec it gaurentee a 110 damage hit if it hits with Ruby bolts? That's really good. It takes 5 ticks for a crossbow attack so you get out of attack range, click on vorkath, then immediately click left or right once your indicator crosses the marked tiles. My alt is at your level and I tried vorkath and it was about 2 mins per kill with bis gear, 87 range and eagle eye. I heard the fastest time is just under a minute but i've been able to get 1:04 just with the dhcb. The only drops he has is 13m range shield and 2m mele shield. hey! Got a blue dragon task so I want to do some vorkath. 5 mill and with cheap 600k. I'm maxed and with dhcb and dfw, I can do 5-7 kills with 2 doses of extended antis, 3 doses of anti-venom+, 3 doses of ranging and 2 super restores. It took me a few hours to get one zulrah kill lol. But it's not a 1:1 ratio, it's a 3 magic : 4 ranged ratio. Or get dhcb and push towards 99 at Vorkath. Wooxwalking w crossbow is usually death if you missclick once, since it changes your pattern from always dodging to always taking damage pretty much. Worth it for vorkath. I could definitely use the cash for 90 fletching and runes and stuff, and crafting xp would be neat since I'm not a fan of mining sandstone. So with dragon you lose 1. You still get hit by mage don't get me wrong, but dhcb is chill and you'll do faster kills/more kills per trip/per hour with DHCB and ward, assuming 99 range and rigour, than with your current stats and gear for melee. I assume you know to pray range with dhcb. When you hear it, immediately click on Vorkath. I was thinking about selling some of my slayer gear to make Vorkath more efficient, then buy it back plus more. That page also suggests using bandos over void like the crossbow guide. It also includes BGS or claws as the spec weapon. Now i feel like there's no reason to ever go back. Dont bring bgs switch with dhcb, bp is your spec weapon. Now, start walking left or right to avoid green acid pools and wait for the first "spit" sound of Vorkath. While with the dhcb kills go by much faster with void and rigour. Dhcb is already better dps, it should still be better after halving both. Get dragonfire ward. I recently unlocked Vorkath and got the head at like 4 KC. On smaller dragons however DHL might have a slight advantage damage wise. So I started doing Vorkath this weekend with a standard starter setup; elite void, slave, BGS, blowpipe, etc. Join us for game… Dhcb, the tiles beyond it's range are the tiles directly in front of the entrance, mark tiles two spaces away from the entrance. Just get the lance. I started lancing vorkath at 76/85/80 had much more consistent kill times and kills per trip compared to dhcb and d xbow. Kill a few blue dragons, brutal blacks and buy a basic blessed d hide set and you're ready for the big blue bastard. No need for bis str gear too, I just used serp, torso, torags, dboots, ferocious, d def and fire cape. 14 votes, 11 comments. Are you eating at the start of the undead phase so you dont lose attack ticks? Do you lose ticks when running away from the massive fireball? So I was wondering would the dhcb + buckler be better gp/hr than the dhcb + anti dragon shield until I can afford the dragonfire ward Stats 99 Def 9…. This is my setup: DHCB with diamond and Ruby Dragon bolts(e) (use Ruby and swap to Diamond when Vork hits 35%) Full Elite Void Salve Amulet (ei) <--- super important I've done around 300 dhcb vorks and haven't had a acid pattern yet where I couldn't do it. I believe a 30% bonus to accuracy and damage. That includes inf cape and avernic. At that point, ruby spec will start to hit less than your max hit, so diamond (e) bolts are now technically better. I almost have max melee gear, and not much cash. The only damage I was taking was from his magic attacks but it was still taking more than half my inv of sharks per kill. Main is usually 1:30-1:40 kills with 5-6 kills. 801K subscribers in the 2007scape community. And the dmg you take assuming you dont plank the mechanics could be anywhere between 0-1000 since his attack styles rng its just more likely praying range with a dhcb/anti and taking the mage hit is going to be less damage then tanking the range hit as they both got the samw Bowfa should be ~20% more dps than rcb+ruby bolts (e) at max vorkath hp and ~50% better than diamond bolts (e). 40 I messed up slightly on this and claw scratched (missed spec orb) the first one before undead spawn, so I ended up double clawing after I was free, but you'd be hitting 45s otherwise Took me roughly 30 minutes of vorkath with DHCB and dragon knives, no resetting to get the speed task done (ZCB wasn't out at the time). The problem with vorkath is he has no drops of big value. Everybody says lance is better at vork than a dhcb which I don't understand how! I receive much much slower kills with the lance and I'm max combat with bis everything except infernal and avernic I use bgs for spec. DHL is the same in max melee. Rigour will be a big deal You should probably be under 2:50 avg with 93 range. Every time you hear the "spit", you either click on Vorkath, or you click a tile behind you (doesn't matter where behind you). On vorkath you'll do the first 500+ hp with ruby bolts which due to the insane accuracy on the DHCB you'll still do great damage. I found that dhcb is so accurate that level makes little difference and rigour is most important (if you have dhcb). Me neither when the bolts were 800gp-1k ea, but at 4k each it does cut into your profits a decent amount. As the other guy said, the wiki vork guide states that you spend 800k/h on bolts with dhcb, which is imo significant enough that lance makes more sense, unless you have much better ranged stats than melees. I wouldn't recommend you meele vorkath, DHCB will be the optimum method with void and salve ei. Wondering what the best strategy is, and how useful it would be to grind. I just threw 1 knife and if I didn't get good ruby RNG I held the other 3 specs for next kill. I just prefer it because you can do it on fairly low hp and max dmg you'll take is one ball if you mess up. The community for Old School RuneScape discussion on Reddit. OSRS is the official legacy version of RuneScape, the largest free-to-play MMORPG. strictly better kill times for vorkath farming which is what I'm doing since zulrah is too annoying. But worth it to do it for the elite void. If you can't block all damage (like at Vorkath), the thing to consider is the frequency of the attack style vs your armor's best resistance, and whether or not that armor includes an anti-dragon shield. But that's on average. hfmhvrf wgvmjm iqeht tvgxq cesc biyr ushdlt tmaxrgli zdwd mgo
